Poppy Meadows in Didcot is hosting a special Remembrance day event this Friday (November 10) from 2pm to 4pm which is open for all to attend.
The event will take in the downstairs lounge and is set to include complimentary tea, coffee and cake, visits from the Royal British Legion, the deputy mayor councillor Andrew Jones and local soldiers, games and tributes and a raffle.
Those interested in residency will also have the opportunity to tour the site.
Resident Carol Cheshire said: “We all got together to plan this as we thought it would be lovely to have a service in the lounge, especially for the elderly who cannot attend the Sunday services.”
All money raised on the day will go to the Royal British Legion.
