The A40 in Oxfordshire will remain closed until at least 8pm following a serious crash this morning (Tuesday, November 7) at Barnard Gate.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance has confirmed it attended the crash which happened between Witney and Eynsham at around 10.30am.
A Thames Valley Air Ambulance spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident in Witney today.”

The A40 was closed in both directions between the B4022 slip road for High Cogges and Eynsham.
In an update, Thames Valley Police West Oxfordshire stated that the road is expected to remain closed near Barnard Gate until at least 8pm tonight.
Police asked motorists to continue to avoid the area.
Anyone who witnessed the collision should call 101 or make a report on the police website, quoting the reference number 666.
