An aggressive man was tasered before being arrested after urinating on a war memorial in a town centre.
Early yesterday afternoon (Sunday, October 5) members of the public saw a man desecrate the war memorial in Faringdon town centre by urinating on it.
The man shouted aggressively and swore at a number of people during the incident.

Police carried out enquiries. The man was identified, located and informed he was being arrested on suspicion of public order and desecrating a war memorial.
After a brief struggle during which a taser was deployed, the man was escorted to Abingdon custody and has now been bailed.
The offence of criminal damage is an either way offence which attracts a maximum sentence of 10 years’ imprisonment.
