The Blue Badge Access Awards aims to raise the profile of accessibility in the hospitality and leisure industry and beyond, and to recognise those venues that are achieving the ‘Gold Standard’.
Blenheim Palace picked up an accessibility award for Best Venue in an Historical Building.
The award recognises Blenheim Palace’s inclusiveness with routes and ramps designed around the palace, park, and gardens as well as the new adventure play area being designed with accessibility in mind.
Heather Carter, managing director at Blenheim Palace said: “At Blenheim Palace, we firmly believe that all visitors deserve an opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in our colourful history and the vast beauty that we have to offer, whether this is a visit to one of our exhibitions inside the Palace or enjoying the beautiful park and gardens.”
“Over the years, we’ve worked meticulously to enhance our accessibility features, ensuring that every visitor, regardless of their abilities, can experience all aspects of Blenheim Palace, so it’s an honour for that to be recognised, and we’re excited for further developments and what the future holds.”
