Oxford Mail Camera Club members have been taking photos of their friends.

That was the latest weekly theme for our camera club members and they posted a series of heart-warming photos of friends enjoying life.

Not surprisingly some club members consider their pets to be friends too and posted pictures of the cute animals.

Sophie Bonnefoi was one photographer who chose pets as her subject matter and put forward this picture of her dog and hen sharing a basket.

There were lots of striking pictures but we have chosen Ms Bonnefoi’s picture - a late entry - as our photo of the week.

Each week camera club members are given a theme and then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page.

A number of them are selected to be shown in the Oxford Mail and online and one photo is chosen as the photo of the week.

The next theme is fireworks, bonfires and sparklers.
