Former chief adviser to Boris Johnson Dominic Cummings was a key figure in Downing Street throughout the Government’s early response to the pandemic.

However, he also broke lockdown rules when he took a trip to County Durham with his family.

Then-prime minister Boris Johnson asked Cummings to leave government in November 2020 months after his rule-breaking emerged but what is he doing now?

What does Dominic Cummings do now?

Dominic Cummings writes blog posts on Substack, covering a range of topics, The Times reports.

He has published pieces about how AI can be regulated, what can be learnt from Second World War strategist Viscount Alanbrooke and he’s offered lists of reading recommendations and films he’s fond of.

He also recently posted a lengthy piece where he suggested a new political party be created and discussed his plan to make it happen.

It’s thought he spends his time in London and the north east with his wife Mary Wakefield and their young son.

The Times adds that Cummings has retired once before – he spent two years on his family farm where he read up on science and history in the early Noughties.
