A 10-year-old boy from Banbury swam with dolphins as part of a charity holiday to Florida.

Billy Humphreys was one of 191 seriously ill or disabled children from around the UK who were flown on a free trip to Orlando by charity Dreamflight.

On a trip to SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove last Sunday (October 22), some youngsters were lifted from their wheelchairs and into the water to get close to the dolphins before watching them do tricks.

Billy, who was one of the children who got in the water, said afterwards: “The dolphins made such cute noises when we touched them and they swim quite fast.”

As part of the holiday, the children also visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios and waterpark Typhoon Lagoon to ride rollercoasters and water slides and meet Disney characters.

Many of them had never been abroad or been away from their families before the holiday.
