An alleged “attack” took place at a mosque in Oxford yesterday morning (Saturday, October 28).
Central Oxford Mosque claim that a red petrol can was thrown over its gates at around 10.30am with the wordings ‘IDF RULE’ and ‘IDF’.
IDF stands for the Israel Defense Forces, which is carrying out ground operations in Gaza as part of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

The mosque said an inspector and two colleagues from Thames Valley Police attended the incident.
The force has been contacted for comment.
In a joint statement, Oxford East MP Anneliese Dodds and Susan Brown, leader of Oxford City Council, said they were “shocked and saddened” by the incident.
“We stand with the Muslim community in Oxford in condemning this cowardly attack and urging people to be vigilant,” they said.
