It wasn't the most comfortable journey for this bed-ridden patient, but at least it raised money for charity.
This was one of the groups which took part in the Witney Senior Young Farmers’ Club bed-push from the Old Swan pub at Minster Lovell to Witney town centre in 1981.
The event raised more than £400 for the Springfield home for the mentally handicapped at Witney – and this float made it clear there were better beds than this one on sale at the Witney store of Wesley-Barrell.
