With Halloween fast approaching it’s not surprising that people are imaging spooky scenes.

This week Oxford Mail Camera Club members were given a theme of ‘all things scary’ in the run-up to Halloween night.

They sent in a wide variety of timely photos including pumpkins, skeletons and graves.

And club member Bryan Robertson went one step further and created an image showing the ‘grim reaper’ at the Bridge of Sighs.

It’s not a real picture in the strictest sense - Mr Robertson has used tricks of the trade to superimpose the hooded figure.

But we liked the image so much anyway we are making it our photo of the week.

Mr Robertson said: “ I took the photo of the Bridge of Sighs on an OMCC group meet in Oxford back in October 2019, grey-scaled the image for effect and superimposed a clip art silhouette character suitably re-sized to fit the picture.”

The next theme is friendship.
