All railway lines were closed between Didcot Parkway and Swindon as emergency services dealt with an incident last night (October 25).
The emergency services were called to an incident, first reported at around 9:30pm, on the railway between Swindon and Didcot Parkway.
Train services which run through the stations were cancelled with disruption lasting until around 11:50pm.

This affected long-distance trains to and from London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads, South Wales, and Cheltenham Spa.
All trains through the area were stopped with some being held at stations whilst others were diverted.
Road transport was requested for customers who could not be diverted.
The lines have now reopened.
British Transport Police have been approached for comment.
If you arrive at your destination 15 or more minutes late because your GWR train was delayed or cancelled, you can claim Delay Repay compensation.
How much you get will depend on the type of ticket you have and how late you arrived at your destination.
