A cyclist was taken to hospital after falling off their bike in one of Oxford’s busiest streets.
The fall in High Street yesterday morning (Tuesday, October 24) left the cyclist with a suspected hip injury.
They were assessed and treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Emergency services had attended the scene, with Thames Valley Police officers arriving at 8.40am to assist South Central Ambulance Service.

Pictures from the scene show the cyclist lying in a police-taped area beside Gusto Italian restaurant covered in a foil blanket.
Kamal Derar, 35, who works at the Salsas del Sol cafe opposite, said the cyclist remained on the ground for around two hours.
“They were just lying down on the floor. It took the longest time for the ambulance to come. That’s the longest I have seen it take,” he said.
“Anyone who walked past could see them.”
