More than £17m has been pledged to improve traffic on a major A-road in Oxfordshire.
The A34 Lodge Hill Interchange scheme will improve the junction capacity at Lodge Hill, near Abingdon, in a bid to reduce congestion.
The junction will be widened, and new south-facing slip roads will be built. There will also be cycle and pedestrian safety improvements and layby upgrades on the A34.

It comes after the project was granted £17.33m through the government's Brownfield, Infrastructure and Land (BIL) Fund.
Oxfordshire County Council had already secured funding for the scheme from several sources, but a funding gap was identified after the scheme was reviewed last year.
Work will begin in summer 2024 and is expected to last two years.
