A man has been charged after an alleged racist assault in Oxford following reports of a parking dispute.
Armed police officers with riot shields were called to reports of an 'axe attack' yesterday (October 21) afternoon on Magdalen Road.
Roger Felton, aged 54, of Magdalen Road, was arrested after a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Thames Valley Police said they were called to the incident at around 2:40pm after a parking disagreement.
Mr Felton has been charged with one count each of; S18 GBH wounding with intent, racially aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress and possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis.
He will appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday, October 23).
The man in his 40s has since been discharged from hospital.
The incident took place outside a number of stores on Magdalen Road, which joins Iffely Road and Cowley Road.
