A major Oxford road was closed after police received reports of an unidentified object in the junction.
Thames Valley Police received reports of the unidentified object on the junction of Rawlinson Road and Woodstock Road at around 9.55am (Friday, October 20).
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “Officers attended the scene and investigated the object. No crime was committed and the road was reopened after the area was deemed to be safe.”

The road reopened at approximately 11.30am.
In November last year an unidentified object was pulled from the canal in Banbury, which caused the town centre to be closed to traffic for hours.
Officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal were on the scene and put a cordon in place as a precaution.
