A man accused of having sex in the street will stand trial in January.
Daryl Hopkins, 36, is said to have been caught on CCTV in flagrante with an unnamed woman in Oxford city centre on May 11. It is understood it took place in Kybald Street, near the junction with Magpie Lane.
Appearing before Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (October 19), Hopkins, of Morland Close, Wheatley, pleaded not guilty to an allegation of outraging public decency. The charge alleged he 'participated in full oral and penetrative sexual activity'.
District Judge Kamlesh Rana granted him conditional bail to return to the Speedwell Street courthouse on January 8 for his trial.
Elona Panxha was for the Crown Prosecution Service at Thursday’s plea and trial preparation hearing. Leanne Ballato acted for the defendant.
