A motorist was arrested for driving a Ford Fiesta without insurance and for shoplifting in Oxfordshire.
Police constable (PC) Alasdair Uren of Thames Valley Police’s Rural Crime Taskforce passed the black hatchback while on patrol yesterday evening (Wednesday, October 18).
The exact location of this incident has not been confirmed by the force when asked by the Oxford Mail.
The car's automatic number plate recognition system flagged that the suspect's vehicle was linked to shopliftings.

Also in his shift, PC Uren stopped a vehicle being driven without insurance near Chipping Norton in West Oxfordshire and reported the driver.
