A vigil with candles and placards will be held to grieve for those affected by the recent conflict in Gaza.
The event, which is organised by the Oxford Islamic Info Centre, is set to take place at Carfax Tower in Oxford today (Thursday, October 19) at 5.30pm.
Vigil organiser and director of the Islamic Information Centre, Dr Sheikh Ramzy, said that around 50 to 100 people are likely to attend.

Stating the reason for the vigil, he said: "We believe the discourse is unjust and there are war crimes going on at the moment.
"Many civilians have been killed which is absolutely wrong but of course two wrongs does not make a right."
Dr Ramzy outlined how he had previously organised similar vigils around 10 to 15 years ago where people from as far as High Wycombe attended.
