A stolen bicycle belonging to Oxford charity project CyclAbility was recovered three days later by the scheme’s director.
Appearing before the magistrates’ court on Wednesday (October 18), Dillon Peck, 22, pleaded guilty to stealing the bicycle on Thursday, September 28.
But he denied an allegation of common assault against Jennifer Tait relating to an incident some three days after the theft, when she sought to recover the bike.

Ms Tait is a director at Cyclability, a charitable project that provides bikes and runs regular rides for adults – including those with disabilities – at the Horspath Road athletics track.
The magistrates bailed Peck, of Bayswater Road, Barton, to return to the magistrates’ court on January 3 next year, when he will stand trial.
The case is expected to last an afternoon.
