A driver has been arrested after 'testing positive for cannabis' in a roadside drug test, police have said.

In the early hours of this morning (October 18), officers stopped a vehicle on cloned plates near junction 8a of the M40.

The vehicle had also been allegedly marked for driving off without paying for fuel in the West Midlands.

The driver provided a 'positive drug wipe for cannabis' and has been arrested.

Thames Valley Police has notified West Midlands Police of the arrest.

A police spokesman said: "Officers just stopped a vehicle on cloned plates near to junction 8a of the M40 for a fuel bilking marker from West Midlands area.

"The driver provided a positive drug wipe for cannabis and has been arrested. West Midlands Police have been notified."
