A fun-loving farm in Abingdon has opened its pick-your-own pumpkin patch and spooky trail ahead of Halloween.
High Lodge Farm in Culham has prepared a special treat for Halloween lovers, who can now make their way to the farm’s eerie ‘sunflower graveyard’ fields and pick out a pumpkin from thousands.
But not before they wince and squirm their way through the farm’s spooky trail.

Emily Allen, who owns the farm with her three sisters, said: “We handmake and paint everything in the trail.
“There are a few surprises in the sunflower graveyard too; there could be something creepy in the toilet, or there may be a witch, and there’s a skeleton using a lawnmower.
“Kids will get an activity sheet, where they have to spot ten letters around the site and figure out what the word is. They get a treat at the end.
“Once they’re done with the spooky trail, they can head into the pumpkin patch, where we have enormous and tiny versions alike.”
The farm will provide baby wheelbarrows and sledges for kids to pick up and move their pumpkins, and for the adults, there will be warm mulled cider and pumpkin spiced lattes.
The pumpkin picking and spooky trail extravaganza takes place during the day, and the farm will be hosting four evening events from 5pm to 9pm this Friday and Saturday (20, 21) and next Friday and Saturday (27, 28).
Mrs Allen added: “We have to go up to the spooky trail at night to prepare and it is genuinely terrifying.”
