A ‘lifer’ has been recalled to prison and handed an extended jail sentence after he admitted attacking his partner.
Jason Villiers, 45, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty on the day of his trial this week to causing the woman actual bodily harm in Cowley in April.
Judge Maria Lamb handed the Oxford man an extended sentence after finding him to be a ‘dangerous’ offender, posing a substantial risk of causing serious harm.

The extended sentence was made up of 21 months’ imprisonment and an extended licence period of 27 months.
It means that he can be recalled to prison at any time during the four year period.
It is understood that Villiers is currently subject to licence, having been given a life sentence in the early 2000s for a serious assault.
