A CORONER has confirmed that there have been no homicide arrests following the death of a woman involved in a crash on the motorway near Beaconsfield.

Alisha Saeed, 23, from Croydon, died after a crash on the M40 motorway on Monday, May 22, which saw four people arrested.

She was a passenger in a blue VW Golf  which was involved in a collision with a Ford transit at about midday between  junctions 2 and 3 northbound.

A pre-inquest review was heard at Beaconsfield Coroner’s Court on Thursday (October 12), where senior coroner Crispin Giles Butler confirmed there have been no homicide arrests.

He said: "The incident is still the subject of an ongoing Thames Valley Police investigation.

"I'm not aware of anyone being charged with homicide and there have been no court appearances."

Four people were arrested after the crash, three men have been bailed and a woman was released under investigation at the time.

Mr Butler added that there have been no requests from police to adjourn the proceedings of the inquest either.

As a result, he has listed the matter for another pre-inquest review which is scheduled to take place on February 22, 2024 at 3.50pm, at the same court.

Speaking in May this year, Alisha's family said 'her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.'
