A barn fire raged for around 10 hours in a village near Bicester yesterday (Tuesday, October 10)
The blaze in Upper Arncott was first reported to Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service just after 9am but the barn was still alight well into the evening.
Around 200 bales of hay were alight inside the barn.

Three fire engines from Bicester, Slade Park and Kidlington fire stations were called to the scene and were joined by relief crews from Hook Norton and Deddington as the incident progressed.
The fire was brought under control using two main jets and two hose reel jets, although crews remain at the site this morning as a precautionary measure.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
The blaze sent a heavy plume of smoke into the air, and the fire service advised nearby homeowners to close their windows and doors, turn off air-conditioning, and rewash any clothes hanging outside.
One resident took a video of the fire still raging at around 7pm.
“It’s getting worse and worse,” she said in the footage. “We’re just so happy that the family are safe and the animals are safe.
“It is completely on fire. We have also been told by the fire brigade and police to shut our windows and stay in our house because the roof is asbestos.
“I feel sorry for the farmer… it’s sad.”
