A stolen Skoda with pilfered plates was recovered by police in an Oxfordshire village.
The car was seized by Thames Valley Police’s Rural Crime Taskforce in a village near Bicester yesterday (Tuesday, October 10).
The vehicle had been stolen from Sussex and was displaying plates that were taken in a Hampshire incident, the force said.

Police constable Tim Bowers recovered the vehicle for further enquiries.
The taskforce claims to have seized more than 200 motor vehicles in under two years, with some stolen, some used in crime and others driven without insurance or a valid licence.
It was launched in March 2022 with a team of officers who tackle serious and organised rural crime and support rural communities.
The aim of the taskforce is to make the Thames Valley a hostile place for those who commit rural crimes.
