Oxford is in the running to be the home of one of the best pizzas in the UK.
Dodo Pub Co Oxford, which runs The Rusty Bicycle in Magdalen Road, The Rickety Press in Jericho, The Up in Arms on Marston Road and the Part and Parcel in Witney, is among the 16 finalists at this year’s National Pizza Awards.
They will up against well-known brands, including Neapolitan sourdough specialist Franco Manca, Italian restaurant business Piccolino, and London pizza institution Homeslice.
Kitchen professionals from restaurants, food stalls and pubs across the UK submitted their signature pizza recipes in the hopes of making the cut.

The finalists will face off in a live cooking showdown on November 21 at London’s Big Penny Social to determine the 2023 winner.
On top of the signature round, pizzaiolos take part in a technical challenge which will see one chef crowned the Pizza Chef of the Year.
Winners will be decided by a panel of industry experts.
Genna Ash-Brown, editor of Dine Out Magazine, which organises the annual event, said: “This year drew stellar entries from businesses all over the UK, the sheer scale and quality of which we’ve never seen before.
"The mix of up-and-coming and well-established names is sure to result in a nail-biting final.”
