A 25-year-old man was arrested after a fight broke out at Abingdon Michaelmas Fair.
Police said the man, who is from Abingdon, was arrested on suspicion of assault by beating at just after 8.30pm last night (October 9) in Ock Street.
Neither party was injured and offender and the aggrieved were known to each other, said police.

The two-day Michaelmas Fair is the longest street fair in Europe, running from Market Place, through the High Street, The Square and the entire length of Ock Street.
It comes to a close tonight, allowing traffic in the town to return to normal in time for the morning rush hour on Wednesday.
