A former Thames Valley Police call handler will appear in court tomorrow accused of working with an organised crime group, the police watchdog said.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct said Thames Valley's counter-corruption unit launched an internal probe after an audit flagged fears about unauthorised access to police systems.

Catherine Arrol, 28, a former call handler with the force, will appear before the magistrates tomorrow (Wednesday, October 11) charged with three offences relating to participating in the criminal activities of an organised crime group and four charges of misconduct in public office.
 
Another man, John Arrol, 38, of Sunbury-on-Thames, who does not work for Thames Valley Police, faces three charges of participating in the criminal activities of an organised crime group.

Both are due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
