The Wantage mayor pressed apples and judged a dog show as a community event returned for its third year.
The ‘community day’ in the Kingsgrove development’s public square was attended by more than 200 people last weekend.
It also featured a fire engine display, hook-a-duck, football challenge, a fancy-dress competition, and craft stalls offering glitter tattoos.

Food options included a local fish and chips van, The Happy Plaice, and a barbeque run by The Chequers.
As the evening drew in, the festivities continued with Wantage Community Church’s event hosted at Wantage Primary Academy.
The evening featured a live band, Studio Six, an open mic session and a hog roast up until 10pm.
The event was organised by a group of residents led by James Hodgson, a prominent member of the Kingsgrove Residents’ Working Group, and Anne Richardson, the community development officer for Vale of White Horse district council.
