Two drivers have been injured in a crash near Oxford.

Firefighters from Slade and Rewley Road fire stations were called to a crash on London Road in Wheatley at around noon yesterday. 

There were two cars involved in the incident with the road closed for an hour while the scene was made safe.

The two drivers suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Firefighter Darren Franklin urged drivers to take care on the roads.

An Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue statement on Saturday night said: "Today at approximately noon, fire appliances from Slade Fire Station and Rewley Road Fire Station were called to a road traffic collision involving two cars on the London road in Wheatley.

"Two drivers suffered minor injuries at were treated at the scene.

"The road was closed for one hour while the scene was made safe.
