A charity art exhibition and sale will take place at a church later this month to raise money for the homeless.
The event, organised by members of Oxford Bury Knowle Art Group, is set to run from 26 to 28 October at New Road Baptist Church in the city centre between 11am and 7pm on Thursday and Friday, and 10am and 5pm on Saturday.
Contributors can enter a picture and are asked to donate a minimum 50% of proceeds from the sale to charity Oxford Winter Night Shelter.

Exhibition organiser, Jean Wykes, commented: “I think it’s appalling in 2023 we have so many rough sleepers.
“The autumn equinox is fast approaching with longer, colder nights but the number of rough sleepers is the same as in summer.
“Please support Bury Knowle Art Group’s attempt via their exhibition and sale of art works to put a roof over a rough sleeper.”
The organisation will host local artist Kieran Stiles at the North Oxford Community Centre on Thursday next week 2-4pm as a preview to the exhibition sale.
The Bury Knowle Art Group was established in 1948 at the Bury Knowle Library and welcomes anyone with an interest in art to attends its meetings and events.
More information can be found at the group’s website online.
