Repairs to a sewer pipe has meant a busy stretch of road has been closed in the city.
Thames Water apologised for the disruption but said the work was needed to fix the pipe on Hollow Way in Oxford.
It was closed between Garsington Road and the Fern Hill Road junction yesterday (October 2) and will reopen on Friday (October 6).
A Thames Water spokesperson said: “We are carrying out a repair to a sewer pipe on Hollow Way Road.
"A section of the road will be closed during this time so our engineers can complete the repair and for the safety of pedestrians and motorists.
"We apologise for any disruption this may cause and would like to assure our customers that we are carrying out the repair as quickly and safely as possible."
Hollow Way leads from central Cowley to Wood Farm and Headington.
