Dozens of nature lovers enjoyed fresh apple juice after bringing their own apples along to a pressing session.
Abingdon Carbon Cutters – a community action group which aims to provide a local response to climate change – held their final apple pressing day last Friday, October 6.
The sessions have been taking place every day from 11am to 2pm, except Sunday, at Unit 24 Bury Street precinct.

People could either turn up and press their apples with others or borrow a kit consisting of an apple crusher, 20 litres or 12 litre press and a pasteuriser to do it at home.
Abingdon Carbon Cutters aim to help reduce the carbon footprint of Abingdon in response to climate change, as well as promote a sustainable and resilient lifestyle for the town as fossil fuel stocks decline.
