Around 100 protesters are gathering calling for safer streets and an end to dangerous roads and dangerous driving.
A spokesperson for residents group Coalition for Healthy Streets and Active Travel said: "Every day on roads in Britain five people are killed.
"In Oxfordshire last year 24 people were killed.
"These are not accidents. They're preventable events mostly caused by careless or dangerous driving.
"That's why we are here as part of a national day of action against dangerous driving."
The demonstration is under way at The Plain, Oxford.
Cycling campaign group Cyclox tweeted: "We seek an end to dangerous roads and dangerous driving. We want safe streets for all road users."
Join us on Saturday 30th Sept 2023 11am-12 at The Plain, Oxford to call for #SafeStreetsNow.
