A development of 172 homes between Harwell and Didcot was unanimously approved by councillors last night (Wednesday, September 27).
The planning application by Persimmon Homes Wessex was voted through by the Vale of White Horse District Council’s planning committee.
The homes are the first of 4,254 which were approved at Valley Park in 2022.

The overall development will see an investment of £50m into two new primary schools, a special education school and a healthcare centre.
Julian Roper, managing director of Persimmon Homes Wessex, said he was “delighted” that the first 172 homes had been approved.
The development will be a ‘no-gas site’ with all properties equipped with air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points and solar panels, planners have stated.
