The jailing of a man who helped-out a pair of fresh-faced Didcot killers should ‘send a clear message’, police said.
Zarahn Zaman, now 22, was jailed for five years and nine months last week for assisting Brookton Lagan and Tyson Cyrille in the days after the fatal stabbing of Darren MacCormick in January 2020.
As well as helping raise funds for the men, he booked their flights from Luton Airport to Holland and refused to give police the pin code to the phone Lagan was using at the time of the murder.

The murderers were arrested at the airport, less than an hour before their flight was due to depart. They were subsequently convicted of murder and are currently serving life sentences.
Welcoming the lengthy jail sentence given to Zaman, DI Mike West of Thames Valley Police said: “I know that no sentence will serve as complete solace for Darren’s family.
“But I hope that the fact the case has now concluded and three men have been brought to justice and will serve very lengthy prison terms offers some closure for them.”
He added: “I hope this sentence sends a clear message to anyone to those considering aiding others who have committed crimes that they will be caught and brought in front of the court.”
