Today we celebrate the success of a wonderful British institution - the National Health Service.
Thousands of patients have good reason to be thankful for the excellent treatment carried out in our hospitals and elsewhere over the past 60 years.
With Oxford such a centre of excellence in the medical world, we share in that pride.
The NHS has its critics, but it is still the envy of the world.
