Led Zeppelin, the Charlatans, Supergrass ... some of the biggest names in rock are making an appearance at an Oxford gallery.
Sadly, the bands themselves won't be dropping in, but the next best thing - a dynamic display of pictures of some of our favourite stars in action.
The show is being staged by photographer Marc West, and features the pick of four years of rock photography in Oxfordshire. Among the 60 images on display at the Lolapoloza Gallery, in Blue Boar Street, are Lemonheads, Towers of London, Larrikin Love, John Cale, The Subways, Mystery Jets, and Oxford's latest superstars Foals.
Most were taken at the city's Carling Academy (formerly the Zodiac), and at music festivals - including Cornbury and the Riverside Festival, at Charlbury, and Truck, held in Steventon.
The show's title - 1st 3 NO Flash - refers to the standard rule of music photography, which restricts shooting to the first three songs, without the use of a flash gun. The show is being presented by artisjustaword, an organisation dedicated to promoting arts in Oxfordshire.
Mr West, from Radley, near Abingdon, whose work regularly features in the Oxford Mail, previously worked for the Oxford Courier, and has also been a regular contributor to BBC Radio Oxford's Download Saturday evening local music show. Most pictures first appeared on the show's website.
Mr West said: "These are my personal favourites and represent the buzzing music scene here in Oxfordshire.
"I had to go through every image I'd taken and put all my favourites in a big pile. Then I put them together like a big jigsaw.
"I am really pleased with the picture of Robert Plant," he said. "I've always been a big Led Zeppelin fan, so when the opportunity arose to take pictures of his set at Cornbury a couple of years ago, I was thrilled."
He added: "When you get the shot you want, you know straight away. Though out of any gig, you are only likely to get one exceptional shot - if you're lucky!
"It's a labour of love, and I'm happy to be doing this. I'm obviously a massive music fan. I wanted to be in a band, but I can't play anything - and never will - so this is the next best thing!
"Someone once said to me that being in the pit during a gig is the next best thing to being on stage with a guitar. And that's absolutely true."
1st 3 NO Flash runs until July 31. The gallery is open from 10am to 5.30pm, from Monday to Saturday.
