Thieves have stolen electric equipment from an Oxford school.

Police have appealed for information after a groundsman's building was broken into at St Edward's School, in Woodstock Road, between 8pm on Saturday and 1pm on Tuesday.

Generators, a water pump and a lawnmower were stolen.

Pc Robin Barrett said: "The thieves stole machinery that would have needed to have been transported by a vehicle.

"I would also like to remind residents to be aware of anyone who might be offering this machinery for sale and that handling stolen goods is an offence."

Anyone with information should call Pc Barrett on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
