Part of a residential road in East Oxford could be closed until Friday after a water pipe erupted yesterday (Sunday, September 17).
A nine-inch main in Rymers Lane, near Florence Park, burst and sprayed huge jets of water onto the rooftops of houses.
Thames Water closed part of the road and stopped the leak by 4pm.

Thames Water was criticised by homeowners for not responding to the leak sooner.
A company spokeswoman said: "Our engineers isolated the burst and cleaned up the area on Sunday afternoon.
"Our teams will be carrying out repairs to our pipework over the next few days during which time, part of Rymers Lane will be closed.
“We are sorry for any disruption caused and would like to assure our customers that we are working to carry out the repair as quickly and safely as possible.”
