GREGORY WATKINS-TURLEY, 46, of Basingstoke Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to damaging bottles of wine in Sainsbury’s Magdalen Street, attempting to steal bottles of wine in the store and assaulting a man. All the offences took place on April 9. He was fined £50 and was ordered to pay a total sum of £100 in compensation.

DAVID FORD, 30, of Merton Close, Eynsham, admitted possession of a lock knife in Witney High Street on July 29. He received six months’ imprisonment suspended for 18 months, with 150 hours of unpaid work and up to 40 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He must pay £239 in costs and surcharge.

FABIO COSTA, 30, of Greenlands Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to drink driving a VW Golf in Park End Street, Oxford, on August 5 and possession of a kitchen knife on the same date and in the same street. Tests showed he had 65mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath when he was driving. He received a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work, and was fined £200. He was ordered to pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

JAMES MANGAN, 51, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis at Loddon Valley police station, near Reading, and driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Wallingford without insurance or a licence on August 4. He was jailed for eight weeks in total, with the court record noting the defendant ‘came to court in drink’, was on a suspended sentence and had a ‘flagrant disregard for court orders’. He was banned from driving for two years.

JOSHUA BEDFORD, 34, of Wellington Close, Longcot, pleaded guilty to eight counts of stealing alcohol from Tesco, totalling hundreds of pounds. He also admitted using a bank card that did not belong to him to buy £31-worth of cigarettes. He was ordered to pay a total of £612 in compensation and £40 in costs.

ABIGAIL BEDNARCZYK, 32, of Beech Lane, Didcot, pleaded guilty to racially-aggravated assault by beating in Didcot on July 26 last year and racially aggravated criminal damage of a Vauxhall Vivaro van on the same date. She was jailed for 16 weeks and ordered to pay £500 in compensation.

THOMAS OSBORN, 19, of Nash Grove Lane, Finchampstead, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Vauxhall Astra on Bell Street, Henley, on August 22. Tests showed he had 96mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was fined £314 and banned from driving for two years. He must pay £211 in costs and surcharge.

DAVID LANGSBURY, 40, of Bartlemas Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to eight counts of stealing alcohol from Tesco in Cowley Road between March and July, and fraudulently using a bank card in Llanelli. He received a community order with a six month alcohol treatment requirement and up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days. Langsbury was ordered to pay £250 in compensation to Tesco.
