The Wilko store in Bicester will be turned into a Poundland shop.
The Market Square site, which will close at the end of the month, is one of 71 Wilko stores which the collapsed retailer’s administrators have agreed to sell to Poundland owner Pepco.
These sites will be turned into Poundland shops and former Wilko staff will be given priority for the new jobs created when they open.
The first Wilko shop closures are taking place on Tuesday after administrators PwC failed to find a buyer for the bulk of the business.
Poundland boss Barry Williams said it was “positive news for customers” and promised the company would work with landlords over the coming weeks to get its new shops open once the administration process is finished.
