Consultations are under way on proposals to introduce 20mph speed limits in two West Oxfordshire villages.
Oxfordshire County Council is seeking views on introducing a 20mph speed limit throughout Alvescot.
It comes following road safety concerns raised by the parish.
A 30mph speed limit will also be introduced on the B4020 Main Road (northern end) in place of the existing 40mph speed limit, with the existing 40mph speed limit remaining on the B4020 Station Road leading south-eastwards out of the village.
Additionally, a carriageway narrowing feature is proposed to be constructed on the B4020 Main Road southeast of its junction with Mill Lane.
This will be kerbed buildouts with wooden bollards which will act as an informal pedestrian crossing.
Priority will be given to traffic travelling south-eastwards, with traffic heading north-westwards required to give way.
The survey should be completed and returned by 5pm on Friday October 6, 2023.

A consultation is also under way on a proposed 20mph speed limit throughout Leafield, replacing the majority of the existing 30mph speed limit.
This follows road safety concerns raised by the parish.
A 465 metre section of the existing 30mph speed limit will remain on The Ridings leading south-westwards out of the village.
The survey should be completed and returned by 5pm on Friday September 29, 2023.
The county council will review the responses and if objections are received prepare a report to be presented to the cabinet member for highway management Andrew Gant at a public meeting scheduled for later in 2023.
The agenda and reports for meetings are available on the Oxfordshire County Council website about a week before.
Both consultations can be found in the Let's Talk Oxfordshire section of the county council's website.
