A restaurant worker has been charged with making up a knifepoint robbery.
Police have charged Andrew Stennings, 28, of Sherwood Place, Headington, with perverting the cause of justice.
The charge follows an allegation that two men tried to rob Gourmet Burger Kitchen in George Street, Oxford, on Thursday June 19.
He was bailed to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court on Thursday 10 July.
