Detectives are yet to make an arrest two weeks on from a stabbing that closed St Aldates.
A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with wounds to his arm and back, after police officers were flagged-down at the junction of St Aldates and Pembroke Street at around 4am on August 27.
The police shut the road in both directions for the morning and recovered a knife.

This morning (September 11) Thames Valley Police said an arrest was still yet to be made.
Last month, detective sergeant Lisa Jones of Oxford CID said in an appeal for witnesses: “If you have dash-cam, mobile phone or CCTV images, I’d be particularly keen to hear from you.
“You can contact Thames Valley Police either online or by calling 101, quoting the reference number 43230383657.
“I would like to reassure the local community that incidents such as this are thankfully very rare, and if anybody has any concerns or information that can help the investigation, please do not hesitate to speak to officers or get in touch with us.”
