A popular restaurant and bar in North Oxford has reintroduced a menu to cater for those looking for a lighter meal.
Gees Restaurant & Bar on Banbury Road brought back its Express menu on September 4 and this offers diners more options for a quick lunch break or business meal.
The Mediterranean restaurant, which was first established in 1989, underwent a refurbishment last year and its head chef Lee Parsons has chosen to revive the traditional lunch menu.
Mr Parsons told the Oxford Mail: “The return of the Express lunch menu is an exciting moment for all of us at Gees'.
“It’s a chance for us to weave together the diverse tastes of the Mediterranean into a concise, simple and delicious dining experience.
“It is the kind of lunch you’ll want to sneak away from work for.”
At Gees’, there is the option to tuck into a two or three course selection for a set price of two course for £23.50 or three courses for £27.50.
The dishes on the Express menu were inspired by the regions of Spain and Italy throughout the year.
Those looking to dine at Gees Restaurant & Bar soon can choose to sit in the Victorian glasshouse or the new ‘Secret Garden’, which is a covered and heated private terrace which can accommodate up to 60 diners.
Gees Restaurant & Bar is part of The Oxford Collection, which was founded by the hotelier Jeremy Mogford in 1982.
