A 52-year-old man was found dead in the River Thames near Oxford this morning (Wednesday, September 6).
Police officers were called to the river stretch between Donnington Bridge and Folly Bridge at around 8.50am to reports of a body in the water.
The body of a man was located in the water and recovered a short time later.

Although formal identification has yet to take place, the man’s next of kin have been informed and they are being offered support by officers.
Detective Sergeant Lisa Jones said: “Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
“The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
