Jeremy Clarkson has 'ratioed' an author and BBC reporter on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, after he made a dig at his Real Hawkstone Brewery near the Oxfordshire border.
The host of Clarkson's Farm and former Top Gear presenter is no stranger to interacting with fans online, but this time it was no fan, by any stretch.
Clarkson’s lager, Hawkstone, is named after the Neolithic standing stone situated close to his farm in Chadlington and became the best-selling lager on Amazon eight hours after it was launched in November 2021.
Hawkstone Brewery is situated in Bourton-on-the-Water, and attracts scores of lager lovers and 'Hawkstonians' every week.
Travelling through Oxfordshire, saw the @RealHawkstone brewery, liking beer we approached, saw it was run by @JeremyClarkson so turned round and drove away .... pic.twitter.com/4lecP4nxkm

However, when local radio presenter Chuck Middleton from Radio Corby visited for a beer, he was less than impressed to see it was a Clarkson enterprise.
He posted: "Travelling through Oxfordshire, [I] saw the Real Hawkstone Brewery, liking beer we approached, saw it was run by Jeremy Clarkson so turned round and drove away...".
In typical Clarkson fashion, he dryly replied: "Oh no. However will we manage?"
His response went down well with fans, amassing almost 40,000 likes as opposed to Middleton's 1,700, which was declared a 'solid ratio' by fans.

Mr Clarkson has become something of a meme recently, as he co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond in their own rights, however, the Diddly Squat owner's "Oh no! Anyway..." flooded the comments section.
Mr Clarkson finally opened a new car park at his Diddly Squat Farm last month (Saturday, August 19), but it very quickly became jam-packed with two-hour waits.
The Clarkson’s Farm presenter battled with West Oxfordshire District Council for months over the proposed new parking area.
