A Mercedes driver was caught speeding at 69mph on the M1 motorway.
Kevin Benjamin, 56, of Aston Street, Oxford, was behind the wheel of a 58-plate Mercedes CLK on May 15 when he was snapped on the M1 southbound near Kegworth, Leicestershire.
The motorway had a 40mph limit at the time, court records showed.

Benjamin pleaded guilty by post to a single count of exceeding a variable speed limit.

A magistrate dealing with the case under the single justice procedure at Leicester Magistrates’ Court fined the driver £470 and imposed six penalty points on his licence.
He was ordered to pay £178 in costs and surcharge.
