Last night (September 2), Thames Valley Police confirmed that no arrests have yet been made in connection with the assault.
Following the incident, DS Lisa Jones of Oxford CID said in an appeal for witnesses: “If you have dash-cam, mobile phone or CCTV images, I’d be particularly keen to hear from you.
“You can contact Thames Valley Police either online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43230383657.
“I would like to reassure the local community that incidents such as this are thankfully very rare, and if anybody has any concerns or information that can help the investigation, please do not hesitate to speak to officers or get in touch with us.”
Less than a week after the city centre incident, police arrested a 27-year-old man following an unrelated double stabbing on Barns Road, Cowley, in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 2).
